UDENTE (Universal Dental E-learning) is the world’s first virtual dental school and provides users with a unique online learning and teaching experience.
UDENTE
has the backing of the internationally recognised King’s College London.
Described as ‘second to none’ by leading experts, UDENTE has the technological capability to accommodate the full student lifecycle through its Flexible Learning Platform (FLP). The FLP provides holistic online-based flexible learning capability with universal IT integration. Industry experts acknowledge that this represents the next generation of Virtual Learning Environments (the VLE 2.0).
In its initial phases UDENTE aims to support the smaller specialities where the national and global shortage of highly trained academic staff is most acute. These include oral radiology, oral pathology, oral medicine and human disease.
Throughout its developmental phase, the school was known IVIDENT .
Sharing knowledge and innovation
I believe UDENTE is now set to become an integral part of delivering an up-to-date dental curriculum. It allows my faculty, as well as other dental schools in Italy, to share knowledge and technology with the international community of dental educators. As chief Dental Officer of Italy, I will encourage all dental schools in Italy to use the world's first virtual dental school as a key component to delivering their curriculum.
