
Dr Chantha Jayawardena, Senior Lecturer, Dept of Basic Sciences, Faculty of Dental Sciences, University of Peradeniya won a Fellowship to join the Centre of Flexible Learning at King’s College London Dental Institute for 6 months from October 2009, to develop a unique way of learning anatomy, based on the needs of the dental professional and the learning outcomes to achieve these, Using innovative 3D techniques to enhance the learning experience, the resulting educational resource will be available to her own students, and those in UDENTE and will be part of a wider educational research project.

UDENTE is an innovative solution for the 21st Century. It will create a collaborative flexible learning environment that will enable faculty to adapt, communicate and embrace the opportunities that the digital era provides. In facing such a future together, local and global outcomes can be measured and shared for the benefit of dental healthcare worldwide.
