E-content

All content available through UDENTE has been peer reviewed to ensure that it is both accurate and of a standard that passes the quality assurance test.  UDENTE’s peer reviewers, all experts in their field, are members of its Content Management Group, which has responsibility for identifying the content development priorities, and then selecting the topics, commissioning and reviewing them.

Once successfully through this process, the materials are made available through the digital repository.  UDENTE’s e-learning content repository is made up of the following elements:

  1. The ‘UDENTE’ Collection of commissioned learning objects comprising of core courses.
  2. The ‘Reference’ Collection of selected learning materials, which have been selected to enhance the learning materials which are the core courses. This selection includes an image bank and reference materials from published sources, including electronic textbooks.

Learning materials have been developed or modified for online presentation using instructional design techniques, and an extensive review process has been employed to ensure quality is maintained, using an editorial board of recognised subject experts.

A key undertaking by UDENTE is the ongoing review of all its materials to ensure that it continues to reflect the most up-to-date thinking and practices within the dental professions as well as further enriching its content.
