IVIDENT (International Virtual Dental School) was an innovative £2.3 million, 3 year UK government funded enterprise to deliver all aspects of dental education through a flexible online environment. It was highly commended at the prestigious Medical Futures Innovation Awards. This commendation was awarded in the category of Dental & Oral Health in December 2008. It was completed on time and on budget in March 2010.

With the support of these partners IVIDENT developed high quality dental education that is flexible, personalised, quality assured, seamless, and without boundaries to benefit the whole dental education community. This resulted in UDENTE, the world’s first international virtual dental school.
